Chememan Advances Firebreak Initiative to Protect Community Forest and Promote Sustainable Living

27 September 2025: Chememan Public Company Limited supported the creation of firebreaks lines in the community forest of Moo 5, Tubkwang subdistrict, Kangkoi District, Saraburi Province. This activity is part of the company’s ongoing “Plant Forests, Build Kitchens” project, which aims to prevent forest fires, protect the ecosystem, and encourage community participation in caring for their natural resources.

After completing the firebreaks, Chememan and local villagers will plant edible and economic trees, such as Cassia siamea and Neem and other useful trees along the areas. These green zones will not only help prevent forest fires but also become a “community kitchen”, providing food and additional income for local families in the long term. For Chememan, green spaces represent more than environmental conservation, they are also a way to enhance community well-being, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and promote sustainability across environmental, economic, and social dimensions.
