11 June 2025: Chememan Public Company Limited organized a training workshop on making “Kanom Kang Khao” (Bat Snack) led by a professional instructor from Sook Took Kham Catering. This activity is part of the project “Crafting Careers from Local Treasures towards Sustainable Income” for communities in Moo 3, Moo 5, and Moo 10 of Tabkwang Subdistrict, Kaeng Khoi District, Saraburi Province.

The training received strong participation from housewives and community members, who learned how to prepare Kanom Kang Khao, a traditional Thai snack that uses local ingredients, together with eco-friendly packaging practices, cost and profit calculation techniques, and pricing strategies to develop future career opportunities.

Kanom Kang Khao, a once-forgotten Thai snack, has been revitalized with a recipe that highlights Tabkwang’s rich local resources. Known for its abundance of quality bamboo shoots and bat caves, the community combined these unique features to create “Kanom Kang Khao Sai Nor Mai” (Bat Snack with Bamboo Shoot Filling). This distinctive recipe uses fragrant taro flour, a signature ingredient of Saraburi, and is filled with stir-fried chicken and fresh bamboo shoots from the community forest, resulting in a flavorful and wholesome local specialty that generates sustainable income.
